AOC WELDING SUPPLY is a company that exhibits a knack for multi-cultural diversity by selling welding gases and other compressed gases on both sides of the Rio Grande River. A mosaic of cultures peppers the Rio Grande Valley, headquarters for the company that manufactures and distributes industrial, medical and specialty GASES throughout Texas and Mexico. AOC is a distributor of major brands of welding and safety supplies.

Three generations of owners/presidents of AOC include Albert Wolf, Albert Wolf Jr. and current president, Bert Wolf.

Albert Wolf started the company in 1936 in Harlingen, Texas. Bert Wolf, grandson of Albert, joined the business in 1978 to work along the side of his father. Bert Wolf is now president of the company and hopes for his two sons, 4th generation, to join the company in the future.

AOC has 18 Texas distribution centers and 2 acetylene manufacturing plants, one in Harlingen and the other north of Corpus Christi.

AOC also packages chlorine, caustic soda, SO2 and anhydrous ammonia from railcars to cylinders and distributes mainly to the water treatment industry.

AOC has 225 employees and a large fleet of delivery equipment both in bulk and cylinders including cryo tankers for oxygen, nitrogen, CO2 and argon plus gas tube trailers for helium and hydrogen. This ensures that the company stays truly independent and can buy products competitively from many manufacturers.

AOC is always expanding, adding distribution centers and has plans to setup shop in the interior of Mexico.
